The people behind the care

Board-certified specialists, nurses, radiographers, pharmacists and laboratory scientists — supported by a welcoming reception team.

Names and photographs to follow

The roles below describe how the Centre is staffed. Individual names, portraits and professional registration numbers are deliberately not published here until each clinician has confirmed their own entry — publishing a clinician's credentials is their call to make, not ours.

Send the confirmed details and portraits and they will be added to this page.

Clinical Staff

Consultant-led, department by department

Every service line at the Centre is led by a specialist, not covered by a rota — so the doctor who sees you is the one who knows the field.

Medical Director

Medical Director

Holds clinical governance for the Centre — standards of care, case review and the final say on clinical policy across all four departments.

Consultant Physician

Internal Medicine

Leads adult medicine: diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular and respiratory disease, and the acute infectious illness common across the Lake Zone.

Consultant Paediatrician

Pediatrics

Leads children's health from newborn checks and immunisation through to acute paediatric illness and developmental review.

Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Leads antenatal care, delivery, postnatal follow-up, family planning and general gynaecology.

Radiographer / Sonographer

Radiology

Performs and reports abdominal, pelvic and obstetric ultrasound, echocardiography and ECG on the Centre's own equipment.

Head of Nursing

Nursing

Leads the nursing team across triage, treatment, observation and the wards — and sets the standard for how patients are received.

Pharmacist

Pharmacy

Dispenses and reviews prescriptions on site, counsels on dosing and interactions, and manages the Centre's medicines stock.

Laboratory Scientist

Laboratory

Runs haematology, biochemistry and microbiology on site, including malaria and infection screening, with results filed to your record.

IT Office

Systems & Digital Health

Builds and runs Afya Hub, the patient portal and this website — and keeps the Centre's records, networks and devices secure, available and backed up.

How We Work

One record, one team

Because the Centre runs on Afya Hub, everyone treating you is looking at the same record — the physician who saw you last month, the sonographer scanning you today, and the pharmacist dispensing this afternoon.

It means fewer repeated questions, fewer repeated tests, and a clinician who can see what has already been tried before suggesting the next thing.

Care in English or Kiswahili

Consultations in whichever language you are most comfortable in.

Results that reach you

Scans and laboratory results appear in your Afya Hub record.

The same doctors, by video

Teleconsultations are staffed by MacWish clinicians, not a call centre.
